We're calling on all Manitobans to participate in a Provincial Day of Action on Hydro and Water as part of World Water Day on MARCH 22ND!
If you're interested in hosting a rally, event or action in your community, please read the details below and fill out this short intake form.
Water is not being respected for the life that it brings to planet earth. We are calling on communities across Manitoba to host rallies or marches in support of water.
Manitoba is lucky to have so many amazing rivers and lakes and to border the Hudson Bay. But our territory is also home to dying lakes and a hydropower system that produces our electricity at high environmental and social costs.
On March 22nd, Manitobans will standing together in in solidarity, celebrating the life-giving beauty of our waterways and sending a strong message to those in power - protect our water.
Sign up here to host a rally in your community to stand up for water and discuss how to protect water for future generations.
These actions are being supported by MEJC and Wa Ni Ska Tan so we’ll have some staff support available and be able to help you recruit people in your area, answer any questions you have, and provide important resources to help make your rally a success. To do that though, we need to know who you are and where your rally is taking place so please answer all the questions
