At MEJC, we are committed to working in active solidarity with Indigenous and frontline communities taking action for climate justice and land defence. We recognize that Canada has been, and continues to be, built on the extraction of resources from Indigenous homelands, and we support those Nations and peoples reclaiming and asserting their sovereignty over their territories.
While we support all frontline resistance efforts, we are currently actively working on three projects:
-
Solidarity with the Wet'suwet'en against the Coastal GasLink Pipeline
-
Stop silica sand mining in Manitoba
-
Stop the Line 3 Pipeline Expansion
-
Supporting emerging resistance to the proposed pipeline to Churchill
