September 8th Global Day of Action

We know Manitoba is full of solutions that will allow us to transition away from fossil fuels and towards a viable future. So let's come together to be inspired and to celebrate those and demand that our leaders take more action in these directions and away from fossil fuels!

This march is part of a Global Day of Action with people in 71 countries and 483 actions rising up to demand that our elected leaders do what science and justice demands; a fossil fuel free future with renewable energy now.

In Manitoba, joining this day of action means rallying for climate justice to #StopLine3 and tar sands expansion. Construction has started on Line 3 "replacement" pipeline in Southwestern Manitoba. This new pipeline has nearly doubled the capacity for crude oil transportation and Enbridge is leaving the existing line in the ground. Pipeline maintenance is one thing, but this is UNACCEPTABLE.

Spirit of the Buffalo Camp is an Indigenous led prayer camp that stands on the front lines of the pipeline construction just outside Gretna, Mantioba.https://www.facebook.com/SpiritoftheBuffalo/
Join the resistance!

We will march from the Legislature, through Manyfest down to Sherbrook St Fest. This will give us an excellent opportunity to interact with people who are not yet part of the Climate and Energy Justice movement! Map to come soon.

DEMAND OUR LEADERS RISE UP FOR OUR FUTURE!

Please spread the word!
