Racism & Racial Inequality
Central Neighbourhoods Winnipeg in partnership with Mark=1T Consulting Firm are proud to present: Race & Rights: A Free Anti-Racism Workshop Series.
"Racism and Racial Inequality": Saturday November 14 from 12-2pm on Google Meet
Part A: We begin the exploration of the inequity for people of colour and why individuals or groups from racialized communities are treated unfairly and less favourably than others in our society. We will tackle important issues around stereotyping, systemic and individual discrimination and prejudice, anti-oppression, and allyship. Will also discuss how to ensure everybody has access to the same opportunities.
Part B: Discussions around the importance of recognizing and appreciating differences between individuals or groups and the importance of understanding unique lived experiences. We will explore underline shared characteristics like colourism, nationality, and the diversity between individuals and groups. This discussion will hopefully lead to acknowledging and exploring the wide diversity between individuals or groups that makes them unique.
