Frontline peaceful land defence is underway in Manitoba, led by Indigenous protectors at Spirit of the Buffalo camp. The camp is calling for protectors and allies to join them on the frontlines to stand up for clean water, air, and lands. We have a shared responsibility to take action against this destructive project!
Are you wondering how to participate in the camp? Curious about what your rights are? At this Line 3 meeting we will have a special legal workshop by UM Robson Hall Law students, specifically aimed at informing and supporting those interested in joining Spirit of the Buffalo camp.
Legal workshop on Line 3 land defence - 6:00 - 7:15 pm
Regular Line 3 planning meeting - 7:15 - 8 pm
We're at a critical moment, with Line 3 construction beginning in Manitoba, and organizers are asking everyone who is able to come and join them on the frontlines.
Everyone welcome, whether you've been to a meeting before or this is your first one. The venue is wheelchair accessible, there are gender neutral washrooms in the building. We strive to create a respectful environment for everyone. There is no childminding available but our meetings are child friendly.
This meeting is taking place on the traditional territory of the Nakota (Assiniboine), Cree, Anishinaabe (ojibwe), and Métis.
